The iPhone 13 order floodgates are open. Apple is finally allowing users to pick up this year’s crop of new iPhones, and eager iOS users have already flocked to the Apple store to secure their new smartphone during it's first few weeks on sale.
The newest iPhone takes full advantage of Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, has a bigger battery to keep it powered up for longer, and a better camera array with a compelling cinematic video mode. It’s arguably one of the biggest upgrades we’ve seen between iPhone generations, and this has naturally led to significant demand for the device.
The iPhone 13 launched on September 24, but it seems unlikely that the majority of customers will be spending the next couple of weeks getting acclimated with the phone’s brighter display and speedy processor. The wait time for each model of iPhone 13 has been shooting ever since the phone launched, and it's only getting worse with each passing day as manufacturing in Vietnam is delayed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The iPhone 13 certainly isn’t the only in-demand tech product. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are still supply constrained even 10 months on from launch, and similarly finding a retailer with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060/3070/3080/3090 in stock has become a herculean task.
If you want an iPhone 13 this year, we suggest getting your order in as soon as possible. The wait times have been creeping up all week and will only get worse once the phone is available in the wild. Below are the current wait times for each model of iPhone 13.

Before jumping into the wait time for each model in the iPhone 13 lineup, it’s important to stress that your mileage may vary. Wait time is determined by a variety of factors including your location and your chosen configuration, so we can’t guarantee that your wait time won’t be longer than the ones listed below.

The standard iPhone 13 128GB is suffering lengthy delays. Delivery estimates have it arriving between October 28 and November 2, and in the New York area, and it's currently unavailable for pickup from a physical Apple Store. The 256GB/512GB models are also delayed with an estimated delivery date of October 20 to October 25 but these do at least have local pickup available in the New York area.
iPhone 13 mini is currently the most readily available iPhone 13 model, and it’s available for delivery from October 19.
Across all configurations of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, the color of the device you opt for appears to be having a noticeable impact on wait time. While the blue, midnight, starlight, and red options are facing longer delays, the pink model is available a little earlier with delivery starting from October 19, granted with an extra $8 delivery fee.
The iPhone 13 Pro model is where the delivery delays are truly being felt. The standard iPhone 13 Pro 128GB isn’t available for delivery until November 9 at the earliest, and that could stretch to as late as November 16. There is no option for local pickup at an Apple Store near us either. The situation is similar for the iPhone 13 Pro Max model, which is also facing delivery delays that run into the middle of November.
